Scribbling My Thoughts Again

Organized desk with pens, pencils, markers, notebooks, and drawing tools

A nudge, a thought, a reminder– to do what? The answer is to pick up the pen. My pen, always available, is best described as dormant. But, alas! Its dormancy is over. It is the moment for its return.

A bigger question, however, is why? Why did I stare at the pen and resist writing posts for my blog, a blog focused on the journey of caregiving ? Writing has always been important, but for some reason, expressing my thoughts with the pen lacked appeal. Maybe it was due to a variety of events. The unexpected interim principalship, coupled with caring for my grandchildren, left little time. When June 30, the last day of the principalship arrived, feelings of ” Now what?” permeated my thoughts. In December 2025, we said goodbye to my mother-in-law, something I never wanted. Looking back, I see that it took time grieve her absence, grieve and celebrate an ending to the principalship. A trip to Greece, Alaska, and Wyoming as well as short getaways to Michigan and Missouri reinvigorated and inspired. Crafting blog entries must continue!

So, here I am, ready to write about the journey. However, this time my journey will be different, focusing on voyages of different people, reflecting upon travel’s impact, and the thrill of adventures.

Join me as I begin a trek into the travel world.
